Not letting bums get in my way

No way am I going to let those meanies get in my way. If You follow my twitter, you would have known all the drama that ensued after my previous post. Basically, I got an email from those guys saying that they can take legal action against me since I'm defaming their business. Say what? Yes. Those people. No comments. So here I am, trying very very hard not to get my spirit broken and hopes down. I've chosen to post a pictures of what makes me happy instead. These are all pictures taken in my studio. My little space makes me happy and that's that.

Now, those meanies can go ahead and bring me down in whatever way they want to, but they will never ever be able to take the happiness I get from working in a creative space along my joy of making art away.

PS: I've been thinking of watermarking my work but it just doesn't help it at all. If they are able to steal a range of my work and photoshop it in such a way whereby it all flows, I am sure photoshopping my name will be easy peasy.

  4. Dawn they are trying to intimidate you, don't fall for their games.
In fact you are in the position to sue them- if you had a huge amount of money and time and energy to waste on it.......
Time to go to the newspapers again- there are so many local designers and artists who are being ripped off both locally and overseas and sadly the internet has a lot to blame for this happening.
Chin up and keep doing your beautiful work.

  10. ugh how frustrating! that must make you feel so angry! one of my fave illustrators Gemma Correll has had the same problems (as many others, I'm sure). Here's a post she did for the site You Thought We Wouldn't Notice: http://youthoughtwewouldntnotice.com/blog3/?p=9719

  11. You go girl! Your works are fabulous. If they dared take action against you, it would probably backfire on them since they stole your work - and everyone can see that so clearly!
    Keep your spirits up!

  12. Urgh, those people are disgusting . . .
Why would they try and take legal action against you, it will only backfire on them because they're the ones illegally stealing your work for profit! :/ Honestly, how stupid. I know that they're just trying to scare you by saying that, don't back down Dawn! Everyone supports you!
